We now have an ‘Adventure Riders” section for the big tourers (a separate track to the trailbike route). You do not need an MA licence to enter, just your regular civil motorcycle licence

1. Entry Form. The Entry form is Page 3 of the brochure. To enter, please print and complete the entry form and return it with your cheque/money order to

2. Riders Indemnity Form. The Riders Indemnity form (page 4) must be completed and signed and returned with your entry form

The Gympie Adventure Ride (GAR) is a non-competitive navigation ride open to all licenced riders on registered bikes. The riders are supplied with route sheets giving directions to complete approximately 200 to 250 kilometres of riding on the Saturday and about 120kms on the Sunday.
The event will commence at about 8.00am on the Saturday morning with riders returning to the Widgee Sports Grounds that afternoon and then leaving again about 8.00am on the Sunday with a lunch time finish. The route will traverse both shire roads and roads and tracks through State forest and National Park.
- Fuel range of around 100kms will get you through.
- Riders are encouraged to have a route chart holder and accurate speedo.
- GPS download of track available or BYO data lead.
N.B. NUMBERS ARE CAPPED SO GET IN EARLY
Entry Fee: $135

ENTRY INCLUDES MEALS, ROUTE SHEETS, CAMPING FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT.
Meals include: Saturday hot & cold breakfast, BBQ lunch and Saturday night 3 course dinner
Sunday hot or cold brekkie, smoko and burger lunch.
Catering provided by the Widgee Community
Raffle available and drawn Sunday morning. Sponsors including Yamaha Motor Australia and Motorcycle Country have provided prizes to be given away over the weekend.

ATTENTION ADVENTURE RIDERS: *** NEW FORMAT !!!***
This year we will be running an adventure bike class for the bigger bikes eg: BMW 1200’s & 800’s, V-Stroms, KTM 990’s or whatever. This class will traverse a different route to the trail bikes more suited to the bigger bikes. Fuel range of 200kms will be required. Saturday ride – about 350km and Sunday ride about 200kms.
*** please note there will be no refunds if you do not turn up as we usually turn other people away for your spot and catering has to be precise and paid for either way. We also will not count you in until we have your payment. |
